Ron, with the fed pumping and reflating, gold should rise modestly in the coming months even if you're right and there's no recession. If you're wrong, then we could be headed for some nasty stagflation, in which case gold should rise dramatically. Seems like a safe bet and a safe place to me.

If you think about the rate cut, I would say that Greenspan told us yesterday that he is not too optimistic about the underlying fundamentals.

As for the drillers, it sure looks like a compelling double bottom. I hope you make tons.

BTW, this morning I recommended ALTR short at 38 1/2. If anybody went for it, hang on to that puppy.
