However, what's to stop 2 or more MMs from agreeing to sell call and put options at set strike prices, and then, as a group, agree to restrict their trading to a predetermined band beyond which the group would not allow the price to drop or to rise...Would not their combined power enable them to harvest an impressive options selling profit for mutual benefit?? Certainly, their combined power could control a number of stocks in this manner...Unless an extraordinary event such as yesterday's interest rate cut by the fed, or 2 or 3 concurrent blowout earnings reports occur, they could pretty well keep a stock or group of stocks within certain trading limits until options expire...
