I'd like to point out one thing. Now that the numbers are not as bad as analysts and mutual fund managers feared, there will be a psychological shift towards buying PMCS and some of the other communications chip stocks before the end of the quarter. After that these stocks may return to trading on their prospects for continued eps growth.

Hey Marvin, don't be a stranger. PMCS thread won't be the same without you. Good Luck, JPM.

Marv, nooooooo..... (as opposed to...).

Nice profit. I treat my PMCS as a core holding with its current story (dominant position in a strong growth area).

Report back if you find greener pastures!

"Sold today at 40, after a low of 23 just 5 days ago I thought I should, I've been in since July 96 at 11. I'm hoping the stock pulls back so i can re-enter..."

Probably not a bad idea. My order's in a bit higher than we are now. I think one has to trade the techs in a market such as this. Buy-and-hold works great with less volatile stocks in other industries and when the market is trending strongly upward (and when you don't watch the market closely). As great as some companies in the tech sector are, there are many fish in the sea. So you have to take profits when you got 'em, especially juicy ones.

I really feel for the shorts here. Especially the very short term shorts. I think they're keeping us from correcting any.
