Alex,

<If you are not sure about INTC at this point, maybe its time to step out.>

I can't argue with that at all. In fact, if you are not sure about any stock, I think it's time to step out.

<Is it going above 100 any time soon?>

Hard to say. Personally, I think at this point INTC is fairly valued in the mid 90's. I think if it got much above 100 in the short term it would probably be getting ahead of itself. "Soon" is not a word I associate with solid long term core holdings with outstanding long term prospects for appreciation. Personally, I am not interested in what INTC will be trading at next month or two months from now. I am more concerned with with 2 years, 5 years, etc. Will it outperform most investment vehicles looking forward?? That is the question that concerns me. I continue to believe, based on fundamentals, that INTC represents one of the best reward to risk ratios in the market, not for next week but for the foreseeable future.

Good luck,

FF

Intel's Investment:

There are 2 schools.

School #1:

Intel is a great investment because it has done well in the past. It is
the biggest with the biggest market share. It has huge customer base
and will continue to be so. They will always be ahead of their
competitors because they have the money to buy the best brains.
Their R&D speaks for itself.

School #2:

Market data has shown that Intel is losing market share to AMD down
in the retail. AMD will attack the commercial market next and most
likely to succeed to some extent. K7 will leapfrog Intel for a short term
and will take away some of Intel most lucrative market. Intel is not
perfect. Their management have made some mistakes and will
continue to do so. Everytime their management makes a mistake it
opens up an opportunity to AMD.
_____________________________________________

My third school says that School #1 and #2 are both correct. It says
both AMD and INTC will do well and will share market share. As the
market of computer grows both will make plenty of money. Investing
in both companies will help you to rest well at night. If either company screws up the other one will gain market share and hence stock appreciation. There is no doubt that competition is good. Competition accelerates new development and hence new products.
Consumer will fork out $$$$ to buy new products.
