David, I think that you are right--consumer spending will keep this economy growing, especially if the Fed cuts rates some more so that everyone and his uncle can refinance and have more spending money or take out low-cost home equity loans. The bull market will resume. In the short-term, however, ie, one month, I think that the markets are going to go down and cause some more anguish.
