Don't know the details but i've read it in a news piece a while back that Bertelsmann offered 2 billion for a considerable stake in Amzn.

>>Why would Bertelsmann offer Amzn 2 billion dollars to buy a piece of their business
and Barns & Noble.com 2 million?

I hadn't seen the $2 billion figure. What were the details of the offer?

eb,

Two billion dollars was never offered. Trust me!

e.b.
e. boolean, you are absolutely correct:
The 2 billion dollar figure was just a rumor. There has never been an offer. IMO there will never be an offer for AMZN.
The 2 million dollars is also incorrect, it is 200 million and that is now historical fact.
