Down after a brief runup on monday...

We're into the random event market.....with the trend being up due to the general feeling that "markets always go up after Fed discount cuts." That was true in the past by the way.

In the absence of global bad news the trend will be up as long as the Fed is accomodative. But a day will come when "they" see that the fed moves will inflate the currency and bring on inflation. Then watch out below!

My bets are on the continuing bad global news/surprises. This will spook US markets. Any kind of banking crisis such as we saw in Russia will really shake the markets. The vision of Russians jamming into the front of a local bank and being told that they couldn't withdraw their money is still fresh in the minds of people. Margin calls will wipe out a few people and these stories will surface. Funds are flowing out of Equity funds this month and last.

What do you think?
