The Russian C.B. gets the gold and gives the mine the paper.

I think that is a very good deal. For the Bank. Isn't high finance fun? Just keep the presses oiled up! And, print a few more rubles while you're at it just for good measure. After all, that's what they all do, don't they?

Cheers

Alex., everywhere a change of policy. What about all that Russian gold that was going to be dumped on the market? The earlier policy was not doubt an overture to the IMF and United States.

With central banks and govts paying more attention to their own interests, and (therefore) foregoing the dollar, something has to give soon.

Expect to be shocked.
