I agree about the geriatrics falling on the ball. This is why Japan and Australia will be the investment areas of choice starting in the 2007-2008 area. I believe it is Harry S Dent who has mentioned the demographical picture is delayed by 10 years in those regions. Or, better yet, lets just make out like bandits for the next 8 years and buy gold. Then wait for the next huge generation (Y) to become big spenders. Should be about 15 years from now.

lets not forget the internet either. Lots of positives to come from it. Cost reductions, innovative new businesses, world peace....

My main worries settle around (don't laugh) Y2K and some nut with nukes.
