I read that book about NT and Cutler. It was pretty interesting I thought. When I read it, it seemed like they were pretty upfront saying Cutler was using ideas from other things he had done, which obviously anyone would do.

I guess now that you mention MICA and PRISM and all that I recall DEC making some claims about code stealing and such. I'm fairly certain there was never any formal legal action.

I heard that Cutler has had very little to do with NT5. I don't know if this was his or MS's choice.
