Paulo: We did not have a bear market in the DJI, INX, or OEX. We may in the future but we have not had one yet. There have been bear markets in the TRAN, SOX, OSX, RUT and a variety of others.

What we saw in the major markets--to date--is a correction. A bear market will take the DJI into the 5500 area, if, and when it comes. I am not counting out a bear market yet based on over 30 years of doing this. However, I believe we are very close to changing the downtrends in several of the indices that were in bear markets. If that is done, I expect the major indices to continue moving up. This week will be very telling about the future direction.

Currently, I have a long position which I went into on Wednesday morning based on my expectations that we are moving up.

Gould no longer has any models--he is dead.

I love all the bullishness here. The idea that we have been through a bear market seems ludicrous to me. Here's hoping the bulls can run this market up even further over the next few weeks.

Breakout, my eye!
