DVD's good addn to rev but not to GM
It's great to hear from the ground tt Creative's products are going out the door.. Just wondering if anyone knows about the returns record. its one of those things u never quite know tt can hit u at a product cycle peak.
As for DVDs, I believe Creative doesn't quite own the underlying technology....hence the Gross Margins aren't as good as, say the sound cards... although def. better than the hyper competitive graphics arena.

we'll see... i'm also long until the stock hits 40-50.
*fingers crossed*

PC Magazine: POSITIVE REVIEW!!!!!

Music to Your Ears
By: Bruce Brown
11/17/98

Here is an excerpt (I dunno if I'm infringing anything if I put the whole thing here):

"Demo and audio-control software lets you try various sound effects and personalize your audio environment. If you turn off the 3-D effect, the relative flatness of sound is deadly. But with the effects on, music audio can have the echo of a concert hall, and games can quickly have you watching your back. The clarity is outstanding, and the power (even with the relatively inexpensive FourPointSurround speaker system) should be more than enough for users who value their eardrums. "

This looks more like a pre-view than an in-depth review, but going by the other reviews, including those in the ZD Net family of magazines, SB Live is going to be hotly received by the major magazines. I'm waiting for the big review ...
