Yes, I was tempted to loiter around the area to see if I can crash the gate. We'll see if some opportunity shows up during the week. Event starts tomorrow. I think the other side of this story is the local city and county council. But I want to wait for the elections to see the make-up of the new boards and other officials. Hate to get cross-wired when seats switch. Like most metropolitan areas in the U.S. we have our own share of "youth programs" where this technology might be especially useful, if you know what I mean. Since marketing on a shoestring can be a problem for a small outfit like CYI, I wonder if Laurie Rice or someone over there might be able to put together some promotional materials (equip., testimony, tech. specs., etc...) that we investors can request and in turn present to our local agencies/governing bodies. Yes, I remember the Harris County contract, but just couldn't be sure about the county mentioned in the news report. Heard the story somewhere between the kitchen and the living room which drew me over to catch the story mid-way. But the camera shots on the equipment inside patrol cars looked great. The displays were clear and could be rearranged into different quadrants, each window showing separate information segments. Also, one patrol officer said that certain routine procedures such as ticketing or ID lookups went from 15 or 30 minutes down to 1 - 5 minutes, while improving information accuracy at the same time. That's the kind of productivity improvement that not only will boost field officer morale but should also help reduce tension during routine performance tasks.
