There was wonderment at how oil prices and other commodities were acting which after the announcement made total sense. Not to sound like a conspiracy nut but there has been some subtle signs that this cut wasn't as surprising as many thought. I would have to agree that AG is not so dumb as to not realize he could be wiping out more funds than he was saving with a surprise move like this and therefore the bigger more "important players were forewarned that he was going to make a move by the end of the week. He may not have told them the exact time but they had to be tipped off. If many of us were aligning ourselves for the obvious fall that was about to come, the big boys would have been doing the same. If they weren't tipped off, then next quarters announcements are going to be really ugly. I heard on NBR or Rukheyser that there were many banks standing in line at the discount line this week borrowing money. Hope you were able to get out of those IBM puts in time. Are they reporting Monday or Tuesday? I thought it was Monday but I show two different dates dependant on which calendar I use. Check out the candles on PVN, LU, QWST and UN. Next week should be interesting to watch. I see allot of divergence in the market. I have a list of certain stocks that move in tandom together going back years that have now gone seperate ways on same earnings growth. Not sure weither to put the high ones or get calls on the low ones <g>. If this is not enough, the MSFT trial starts Monday so the action in the NASDAQ could be slanted just from the action of soft as news leaks out. I still show that the NASDAQ could go to 1640 without violating the channel. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Good Luck, Lee
