Amen. I can't see the rationale for the city spending millions more of public money for a new stadium. They already have a lousy deal on the existing one that is costing taxpayer untold megabucks. Every week they find it cheaper to buy up Chargers tickets and give them away, than to take the rent cut provided for in the contract when the Chargers can't sell enough tickets. Lord knows what sweetheart deal the Padres have inserted into their proposal. Love the baseball, hate the business.
