The imminence of this downfall of oil is something that new and pretty doggone alarming. The impact on the world and the ramifications of what "could happen" are incredible. Alternate energy sources as nimble, flexible and ease of use are years away. The choices of action the Arab world might make to survive are subjects for speculation and deep concern.
I think we need to be very circumspect about how we react and how much credibility we should give to the timetable. Certainly it is a subject that the world needs to address, get a handle on, and hopefully reach a plan to make an orderly transition. I, personally am glad we are going to spend a bit more for defense. I think a tougher handle on Sadam Hussein is very much in order.
Anyone know how much oil is under China?
