Gerry, nice job getting that article posted. It's likely a key item in the rationale TX used to sign up with tiny Rentech. A while ago I posted some stuff about the coal conference Yakobson attended and some of his main presentation points. I also posted some info out of Oil & Gas Journal that spoke to the needs of India and China that have little petroleum reserves and huge economic growth potential....IF THEY CAN GET DOMESTIC FUELS AND ELECTRICAL POWER. That stuff was in posts #8749 and #8778.

Both have big coal reserves. RNTK/TX has the methodology to produce syncrude/synfuels and support associated electrical power from that coal AND do it in a way that is as kind to the environment as possible. Note I did not say Kyoto-compliant. That is but a dream.

Thanks again,
H.W.

Disagree 100%,

Econmoics suck for natural gas gtl and coal. Only refinery bottoms make sense now (must already have Tx gasifier in place or economics suck for bottoms too). Thats why they're in this with RNTK.

Prove me wrong with numbers and science and I'll listen.
