David: Insider buying is what eliminated any lingering doubt for me. Now it's just a question of patience and time.

Fred; I'm allowing one of my other stock "plays" to run its course(it has gone from ~$11 to ~$19 in a little over a week, and I'm expecting another 20/30% surge upon their earnings announcement which should blow estimates away....in other words another week or so). Then I'm gonna take profits from it and make one final purchase of........can ya guess? ;-)

John~

Lithium Ion in Motorola
A poster who heard WSW wrote this at AOL: Did anyone catch WSW on PBS last night. Louis Rukuyser featured the latest gizmos & trends in the high tech area---& no VLNC was not mentioned though they showed the next generation cellphone from MOT--weighing in at 2.7 OZ. & said powered by a lithium ion battery.

Here is a post I put up last month. I called PR at Motorola at was told they have been testing batteries on a continual basis and was also told lithium polymer was a viable addition to their product line.

<<Motorola is changing the world of telecommunications with the first truly global, digital communications system". Motorola will be unveiling a new cellphone soon, named "Iridium" to be used with their new global communications system. Rumor has it (which I heard from two different sources) they will be using a Lithium Ion Polymer Battery. It is well known Valence has had a long standing relationship with Motorola (and at one time a $100 million dollar contract) and has been sampling batteries from the production line for several months now.. Maybe some of todays volume can be attributed to impending news. The new phone is to be released in the next few months.>>
