Ken. there's an enormous amount of information in those releases to untangle, with not just a little bit of spin to scrape off before it makes some sense. So don't feel naked for feeling that you are in over your head.

And the environments that these products are said to be operating in are becoming increasingly convoluted. I'll have to print this out, perhaps draw a few diagrams with arrows and dotted lines, and try to make some sense of this. In the meantime, I have a jam session to get to over in Lincoln Center, so I'll be getting back to you.... but on the surface it's a reply to ASND's New Public Network framework, it looks like, to me... It also seems to me that they had a previous name for this.

Ken, if I can sneak in here, in between these press releases and magazine tutorials and articles (Hi Stephen!)...

...I looked at the Nortel releases again, and their web site. I don't see anything that is materially new, except a new marketing initiative and some renaming, repackaging to give the appearance of a cohesive architecture, which they've probably had all along with the very same devices, but marketing is funny that way.

I'll put my local Bay-Nortel, or as they now call themselves 'Nortel Networks' sales reps to task this week and ask them to demonstrate what this all means, and get back here.

In the meantime, happy investing!
