***************OFF TOPIC: CHRISTIANITY AND JUDAISM************** One of the things I know the least about is the differences between Judaism and Christianity. However, I'm very interested in understanding those differences....Should a thread be started on that topic? InfoDart, I think there was an attempt, at some point, to start a thread on this topic.. The problem, as I see it, is that there are so many differences WITHIN both traditions. And there are similarities BETWEEN both traditions. From the little I know about the Judaic tradition, it even seems to me that Orthodox Judaism and certain forms of Christian Fundamentalism are closer to one another, on certain points, than either is to Reform Judaism or Liberal Christianity. I think you will find that most of the people who post on the religious threads here are Fundamentalist Christians. Although they certainly represent a tendency within the Christian tradition, they do not represent the whole of that tradition (although, on occasion, they appear to think that they do). So I do not know whether you could get the sort of dialogue going that you would like to see. jbe
