Why do you think AOL is so successful, with their inability to receive HTML code in emails, downsized versions of various web sites, etc? Because, the majority of consumers are still completely (and happily) ignorant of how computers, browsers, and the internet work. I don't mean that as criticism, either. Are you totally happy not to know how the engine works in your car, how the air conditioning and plumbing in your home works, how the... you get the picture? It's just a matter of priorities. If they had made computers and such as easy as a microwave, we'd know a lot more. But, since they made them complicated, with so many varying NON-standards, differing protocols, etc, etc, etc, most of us don't have the time, nor the inclination to care, yet alone learn about the things we are discussing. A sad fact, if you see it that way, but a real one. Time will tell....

Cheeky, Len and others:

Thanks for detailing the ingredients of cookies. Time to give up sweets.

Cheers

Oreos....chocolate chips....macedamia nut

Don't you think it might be appropriate to start a 'Cookies' thread? For one thing, a lot more people might be interested who don't regularly visit this subject. For a second reason, it might free up some space on this board for those who have other suggestions for improving the SI site.
