David:

Your suggested scenario does little to protect the general holder of CORX equity at this critical juncture.

Doesn't the technical profile suggest corporate positioning for a buy out, involving a stock-exchange, rather than an alliance? Such maneuvering gives the consuming corporation considerable leverage in, let's say, a 10:1 exchange or may dilutes holdings to favor within CORX distribution vis a vis the general public.

I admit skipping over the corporate structure, salary, and equity distribution aspects of CORX before jumping on board.

I will feel a lot more comfortable when a new CFO shows up who will bear responsibility for the corporate finances.

Ciao, Ted

Some type of partnering agreement is indeed in the works. Look at the 2nd paragraph of their latest press release.

"In terms of strategic initiatives underway," Dr. Simmon added, "Mr. Hagen's resignation does not affect our process of seeking alliances with corporate partners. Our discussions regarding the initial partnering opportunity are in advanced stages and we hope to announce a completed agreement by the end of 1998."

This is significant, IMO. The end of 1998 is less than 2 1/2 months away. The agreement may be announced at any time. I doubt you will be able to buy CORX at current levels once that agreement is announced.
