Steve,

"The clay does not tell the potter what it will be does it."

I have a close friend who is a well known ceramic artist, producing very beautiful and very expensive works. He has long insisted that the clay does tell him what it wants to become. Another friend, a sculptor who works in wood, insists that there is a perfect shape that an individual piece of would strives to become, and the job of the sculptor is simply to uncover it.

Strange, but those who create are like that. Might be true on a divine level as well.

Steve
