<<Weren't Jacobs sons guilty of selling their brother because of spite?>>

Jacob was God's messenger, not his sons. Right?

Most of the Sins attributed to the messengers of God in the Bible are presented in the third person as accusations. I'm not a scholar so feel free to point out any mistake I make. I don't believe that any of Gods messengers committed Sins. Mistakes sure, because they were humans and not perfect. But I do believe they were All sinless. In fact that is the first thing you or I would look to if someone were to step up today and say they are God's messenger. I don't believe the tv evangelists have offered any new message from God. They keep building themselves up and then their ministries crash when...

I believe all of the messengers sent by God were scrutinized, then listened to by their followers once they had shown them selves clean and believable. They always made it clear when they spoke for God, that it is a message from God and they had no ownership except in the delivery.

For example, when I read (a long time ago) the psalms of David. I got the impression David was praying for the strength to endure the treachery and lies against him.

<<We know that God is the author of scriptures and uses men to write down His words.>>

Yes, and we know that you can't authenticate the point in time when most of the words in the Bible were delivered, who they were delivered to and under what circumstances. Many of the words in the Bible are not attributed to God delivering a message at all. Many are stories of how people lived and what they thought. God wasn't speaking these words. That being the case, you can't trace the path that has carried each scripture to modern times. As such you can't validate its authenticity except that you can confirm certain truths through your heart.

If you want to stand on the Bible as God's complete and infallable word, that is your choice. To me it is only the best kept anthology of the Judeo/Christian tradition with reference to Gods word. I am convinced it is a flawed document and these references to the sins of God's messengers is the primary reason.
