Humbly report, JW, your diatribe reminds me of a few lines from Shakespeare:

What's here? the portrait of a blinking idiot . . .
. . . a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

1. Looks to me, given PLSIA's present situation, that Pluvia was not posting "frodulently twisted information". Instead it seems he was dead on right.

2. I am absolutely not "among a group engaged in a concerted effort to discredit" you and your business. Watch it pal, false accusations and lies like that can cost you! Other than being an FBN Associate, I am an independent investor - period!

3. As to your fluffy "credentials," who cares. The market has spoken loud and clear when it comes to your company - for years:

tscn.com

4. As for the statement at WBN Silver Edition that Planet City has no competition which, now that it has been pointed out by me to be absolutely false, and which you now claim got by you and will be corrected, funny how many false and misleading statements "get by you" on a regular basis in your paid for tout pieces, and go uncorrected until pointed out, huh?

Your credibility is zero in my book. To me you will always remain a paid shill, a dishonest tout of the worst kind, and someone that uses strong arm tactics to silence honest criticism.

Shame on you!

Cheers,

Svejk

Technology Review (November-December 1998) has an informative article "Welding Wounds" that includes product and "solder" progress, and mentions 4 companies: Abiomed, Premier Laser Systems, and Vitex (all 3 public, according to the table on page 74) and Conversion Energy Enterprises (private). It is mostly about Abiomed, but fairly balanced.

techreview.com

Excerpt:
A handful of biomedical startups and established laser manufacturers are working feverishly on it, and larger surgical companies are keeping a close watch on the progress. The work is driven by the potential advantages of laser welding: faster surgeries, fewer complications, quicker healing. The hard commercial reality, however, is that, for most common procedures, suturing and stapling are cheap and deeply entrenched. But recent advances in surgery, especially ones in the fast-growing field of minimally invasive procedures, are creating opportunities that could make laser welding a clinical reality.

Premier is mentioned in the sidebar "Mending a broken heart" and in the print version in a table "Companies looking for a cut" that lists the 4 companies, their location, and strategy.

Westergaard, it is amazing that you have the nerve to attack Pluvia since the fullness of time has proven him right, and you wrong.

It's pretty simple, those that listened to you and the company hype lost money, and those that listened to Pluvia limited losses or profited magnificently.

Despite how you squawk, the true unethical shill is Westergaard. You twist the 'facts' to suit yourself. You omit the fact that your detective work that 'discovered' Steve's identity was he himself contacting you. You omit the fact that you refused to pay the 'reward' to the charity Steve requested received the reward. Then you congratulate yourself for 'unveiling' this anonymous poster, and for offering the reward which you subsequently refused to pay. This despite the fact that the terms and conditions had been honestly met.

The true scum is WBN. A bought and paid for shill of the companies it promotes, it cares nothing about reality. Anyone that listens to you is almost certain to rue the day.

JW you posted:

<<Sir: I have been engaged for 40 years in publishing investment
research on speculative stocks and no one has ever . . . questioned my integrity>>

You are kidding, right? Is it easier to write without reading everything that is posted here? It must be since there have been a lot of people on SI who have questioned your integrity.

<<Westergaard Broadcasting . . . is engaged in . . . help[ing] protect companies and their shareholders from anonymous posters engaged in posting purposefully misleading or fraudulent misinformation at Silicon Investor and other message boards.>>

Would I be correct in assuming that there is some significance in the "anonymous" part? What about "purposefully misleading or fraudulent misinformation" that is positive (as opposed to negative) hype? Does that kind of information not interest you or your clients? If it doesn't, then the "service," the "reporting," and the "analysis" do not seem very objective in my book.

<<Persons who post . . . just plain stupid information on message boards find wbn.com to pose a threat . . . .>>

Do you now feel threatened by yourself?

Everyone here is still waiting for some substantive replies from you rather than continued self promotion and hype.

Troy

Just Amazing... The Things Westerfraud Will Do To Get Web Hits...

<<<As some followers of this thread surely recall, I got into a brouhaha a year ago over a certain "Pluvia" who was fraudulently posting twisted information about PLSIA at SI in the guise of being an investor when in fact, as we discovered upon investigation, he turned out to be a distributor of a competitive product.>>>

Actually Westerfraud, I think your memory is the only thing twisted on this issue.

I think all of the posters will recall that you were soundly whupped on the SI boards, and "outted" as a sleazy promoter that tried to use a $5,000 bounty to discover who I was to promote your pathetic WBN website. Furthermore, I think all of the posters will recall it was discovered you were/are a sleazy liar that steals money from charities which support starving African children, as you failed to pay the promised bounty to me when I supplied you the information about myself. As you know, I had promised the proceeds to an African charity. IMO you need to take some pretty large steps up, out of the gutter, just to qualify as a scumbag.

Furthermore Westerfraud, the information I revealed on these SI boards about PLSIA turned out to be pretty much 100% accurate. The information I revealed - far in advance of it being admitted by PLSIA management - caused the company to restate their financials, caused the company's auditor to quit and pull their opinion which caused the stock to be halted, and caused the NASD to recommend delisting the company's stock.

I can only conclude you were drunk when you wrote this garbage about your recollection of theses events. Drunk, or displaying the symptoms of "old timers" disease, or perhaps both.

<<<Sir: I have been engaged for 40 years in publishing investment
research on speculative stocks and no one has ever sued me or
questioned my integrity, nor have I ever had a regulatory problem.>>>

Westerfraud, give it up. We all see right through this pathetic, transparent campaign to produce web hits by once again trying to be controversial.

<<<yawn>>> I suggest you crawl back to your bottle and come up with another plan to salvage your dying business, as the SI posters are much to sophisticated to be sucked in by your despicable hype. Here's a quote you might want to take to heart:

"go sell crazy somewhere else - we're all full up here"

All comments IMO

Cheers Steve

Mr. Westergaard, in my book you are one smart cookie. In your SI bio you said you were 45 years old. That would mean that you were born in 1953. You said that you have been in the publishing business 40 years. That mean when you were five years old when you start doing investment research. Also you said you graduated from college in 1953. That was the year you were born. That is why I say you are one smart dude. Now since you are smart, please tell me the difference between spreading false information that would hurt the company and spreading false information that would help the company but hurt investors. For instance you mentioned that many were expecting the restatements of financials for the last quarter of 1997 would be "tens of millions". Now you know you never read that on any message board. The company doesn't have those kind of sales for a year , let alone that kind of income for a quarter. We investors were too smart to go around making those kind of crazy statements.

No, I don't agree with what Pluvia did. But you have played loose with facts also and that is hurting the credibility of Plsae. Right now their books are clean. They must project themselves as an honest, professional company . Therefore you need to tighten up and help build that image. But until you do they will come across as a group of shysters who make their fortunes through hype.
