Never had that happen with Neuro. With other programs, yes.

I've noticed the shareware version will sometimes give the error you mentioned if neither of the two check boxes are checked in the Stats window for Training Data or Verification Data while the system is training - but don't know why because at other times, de-selecting both boxes and closing the stats window will just make it default back to the training data selection.

Cat Lady,
Have you had any further insight into the "this program/illegal operation" issue? I just installed W98, and Neurostock now does the same thing on my machine. Haven't characterized in detail yet.
