I see that Who?Vision is a portfolio company of ICG. How does that fit?

bob,

Walter Buckley (a principal in ICG) has been on the board of Who? for a while, but I hadn't noticed that they were in ICG's portfolio until you just pointed it out.

Here's how I believe it fits in: ICG has it in the "enableing technologies" section at the base of their investment pyramid. I see security and authentication as an enabling technology of e-commerce. While Integrated Visions is going after healthcare/corporate markets, Who? Vision has positioned itself as biometrics for the masses, with a $10 stamp-sized print reader in every keyboard, monitor, laptop, cell-phone, PDA, kiosk, ... whatever.

If ICG can "synergize" their companies like KPCB does, then Who? will be the standard for those e-commerce platforms. And, ICG's other big investors are Compaq and Comcast. Think about it!
