anthony.....

thanks...while i realized
the state of the art had long past them, i hadnt looked
carefully enough to see their complete obsolescence.

non-linear editing machines have no truly "equivalent"
analog counterpart, eg and on down the line. i appreciate
your guidance....

keep lurking & jumping in when we need you!

Thanks from me too, Anthony. Three years ago I got in a dialogue with the owner of a production business in KC. He said that AXC made wonderful equipment which was popular on the east and west coast, but he did not want to pay all of that and wed himself to the D-2 format. He also said dealing with AXC for replacement parts was a pain in the ass ....reflecting that they had already abandoned that market then. Wonder if they ever will redesign the DCT for HDTV .....even if only for archival sales?
That nifty sketch of the DCR was in the annual report before last , Randy. The text outlined the proprietary aspects of it and mentioned the wide range of applications that the AXC patents in the DCR might have to broader markets. Unfortunately .................... so far ............
