<<Who else has point to multi-point DWDM? No-one. This is new, unique and innovative technology.>>

Thanks for the clarification.

Here is the like to the announcement:

biz.yahoo.com

The analogy to ASND was much easier to make. Cascade already had customers for their products before ASND bought them and the projections into the WAN market were robust.

<<At $5-$6 dollars, we are selling under cash. How much downside risk is left? How much upside potential, A) in the next 6 months, B) in the next 2 years?>>

Probably not much downside in the next 6 months, but 2 years out is a lifetime. Quite a bit will depend on the way this technology is deployed. I'd sure like to hear more about those strategic partners in greater detail in this CC. Seems like QWST and the other fiber barons are pushing ahead, but outside of Bell Atlantic's 1/2 billion dollar spending program, it still seems like the other baby bells are not joining the party.

BTW, Any idea why hasn't the stock been bought by the insiders? The drop was 6 weeks ago yet I see zero, nadda, zip reports of insider buying. That should have been plenty of time for the documents to show up at the SEC. I realize the two principles have significant holdings, but when the stock is selling for less than the cash on hand, I would think they would be buying hand over fist if there was any hope of a quick turnaround.

Sector,

In the August 28th freefall, part of the announcement was a delay in product launches. Is Fiber Driver the product that was delayed?

Sector,

<< Me too? This product is unique in the market place. Who else can use a fiber pair as TWO fiber lines? Not LU. Not Ciena. Not NT. Not Pirelli.

Who else has point to multi-point DWDM, with routing, switching and cross-connects entirely in the optical domain? No-one. This is new, unique and innovative technology. The emphasis by others up to now has been in having the most wavelengths (40, 80 96, etc), but only point-to-point. MRVC doesn't need to match those levels to be successful with this new technology >>

Sector,
Thanks for your opinions. Could you explain in more detail and possible in more laymans terms why the FIBER DRIVER is so cool in your mind? I think I get that it frees up part of the pair for info/data and that more optics come into play. Is the Fiber Driver going to be NEEDED and WHY? When do you expect customers and will these be smaller CLECS or enterprises or RBOCs?

thanks for your thoughts
