'Ford sees Year 2000 costs at $375 mln

DETROIT, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Ford Motor Co. said in a government filing Friday
it expects to spend $375 million over a three-year period ending mid-2000 to
bring its information technology systems into compliance with Year 2000
computer date changes.

The U.S. No. 2 automaker said in its third quarter 10-Q filing at the U.S.
Securities and Exchange Commission it had spent $110 million through September
1998 on compliance costs
