Brinkerless Weekend

Just to fill a void this weekend I pose the following thought(s)-I often think about why most investors are not that successful and try to avoid those mistakes. The thought I most often have is that once an investor has an opinion or preconception about the way circumstances should play out, for example this is a bear market, this is a bull market, buy msft, sell intc...they very often will not change their perception until they are blown out of the water financially. I believe this is a very common mistake investors make; refusing to believe circumstances are changing until it is too late. I try to avoid this mistake by constantly trying to listen to those that have opposite views from mine to see if they have better arguments.

I am sure there are other mistakes that investors make that lead them to financial catastrophe. I would be willing to listen to what mistakes others think should be avoided...
