From an Amzn bull on TMF, whose opinions I've always respected.I'm curious how
many of the bears on this board would have changed their position on Amazon had
Bertelsmann bought 50% of them instead of B&N?

I know, as a bull but not a current shareholder, I would've bought in immediately
regardless of valuation. If Bertelsmann's proposed investment was at a below-market
price (driving the share price lower) and caused dilution to existing shareholders (thus
providing more downward pressure on the share price), I would've guessed that the
improvement in financial flexibilty and competitive advantage would have more than
offset these factors

Sure sound like he is a bull, Glenn, since that is what he said <g>

Victor,

There is just a bit of misunderstanding here and now I see how you arrived at James being a bull on Amazon. This is funny in its own way:-)

William is a bull regarding Amazon and James is definitly a bear.

There is a poster that is very good on the TMF site in which James participates. The name of that poster is CouchPotato. The entire post you read was a copy of a CouchPotato post on the TMF that James brought to the attention of William. James admires CouchPotato but does not agree necessarily with CouchPotato. Every word in the post was by CouchPotato who is a guaranteed bull on Amazon.

James will often debate the posts of CouchPotato. At least, CouchPotato makes bullish arguments with some analysis to back them up.

I see the confusion because it appeared that was the writing of James. I can tell you that James is not bullish on Amazon. He may not be as bearish as I in that he believes AMZN will go bankrupt. James clearly believes AMZN stock is being manipulated and I agree with him on that score too.

I am grinning on this because James and you are on the same wave length. In summation, all are good posters.

James is not long AMZN. Trust me LOL....

By the way, I never officially welcomed you to the thread. I recall you started posting here a few weeks ago and it is nice to have you as an addition.
