They have a delay in reading for non-members now? Hey, that was my idea, months ago! I should get a bonus or something (I already have two SI t-shirts).

I still don't think there is any legal problem in companies posting to SI. They have private conversations all the time with analysts, traders (and even hedge fund managers...). I would agree they should not post material information to SI first, but rather issue a press release (they could post to SI at the same time).

Competition is more of a problem for SI. Yahoo may transfer control of their boards to another party, which should result in better run boards. Raging Bull, a minor player, now looks more formidable with the investment from their new partner, CMG. Over the long term, SI may have to drop their membership fees to keep up with the free competition.
