<<The drop in the stock price is mainly attributed to the drastic price erosion in their HDSL products and global market conditions. It's a tribute to Senior Management that they can maintain profitability in light of up to 50% price reductions.>>

That might have something to do with it but I think the drop in stock price can be mainly attributed to the market in general. Compare the chart of PAIR to the following charts: SPX (S&P 500); the DJ30; the Nasdaq Composite; the Wilshire Small Cap Index; and Oh my gosh -- even the BKX....
Do you see any similarities? ;>) Better yet, let's take the labels off........... can you tell me which is which???

Rain,
I been looking at some interesting #'s that seem, shall we say odd!
On inventory for ADTN in the second quarter they were holding $41,822,741.00 in inventory.
Their #'s for this quarter show they are holding an inventory of $60,655,793.00 which seems to be an increase in inventory of $18,833,052.00 in inventory in three months?? I think that's about 45% increase, which seems like "kinda a lot of inventory to me?"
I was just wondering? When companies manufacture products? I was always under the impression they would want to ship the stuff, rather than keep it in their warehouse and play with it themselves??
Can you help me understand this? And also Jackie would like to know, what it means when it takes an arbitrary income tax calculation to "Slightly" increase net income for this quarter for ADTN?????
(Income for the quarter was actually lower than the prior quarter?)
Just a couple of "LITTLE" questions about ADTN's Creative methods of accounting buddy.
Your Pal,
Jay
If you can't explain maybe David Nelson can explain it to me???
