DELL, LU, GE, TWX, WMT, all great stocks, all have pattern of downward sloping price charts, with lower highs and lower lows. SELL Looked at some utilities: POM, WTR, have upward sloping charts. Oils/Oil service - looked at HAL, SLB, DO - looks like they have put in a double bottom, and are now buys Special situations: CSN - Cinci Bell, at low when most telcos are at highs, someone gonna buy them. S - Sears - near 40 or where it is very attractive. UST - chewing tobacco, bounced off 28 nicely, would buy near 29, maybe 30 on pullback. 3 stocks I want to own for long term: INKT, RMBS, ATHM - all special situations with products that are unique, going to be much in demand. RMBS, Rambus, has technology that will enable chips to process data more quickly, is backed by INTC. INKT, Inktomi, has technology to increase caching, has major deals with AOL and most major companies. ATHM, @Home, has cable modem biz for most of Cable Co's, Cable Modem will most likely be the preferred internet access in US, TCOMA has about 40% stake in ATHM, which T will use to gain major access to internet. just some early morning ramblings.
