Update from Value Line Oct. 09,1998

"While it is likely the company will continue to experience price competition in the coming months, growth prospects for the next 3 to 5
years are still very good.
"

Target price range 2001-2003 $46-76
(I'll wait 4 yrs. or so to increase the value 600-900%)

There is a reference to mid 1999 being a time when competition eases,
as I think someone said in a post above.

So there you are... come the second quarter of 99, it's off to the
races, or as they used to say here, time to back up the truck, load up the boat, etc. If I had any $ or margin left, I would gladly steal this at the current price.

Re: Growth company

You said: "Although the company is making money and has great balance sheets it is currently no longer a growth company($.16 every quarter) and momentum players have left."

And ADTRAN IS?

Adtran is the other end of the equation and is not really a growth company either.... missing earnings each time and disapointing investors. Maybe people like the underdog, I don't know.

What bothers most Pairdogs is that Adtran hasn't been knocked into the teens yet, god knows it deserves it. Having a smaller float of stock helps I am sure.

Graham
