Preston, stay focused, don't think about earnings around the world. It's good for cocktail conversation but has nothing to do with the task at hand and that is making more money faster than the market can take away from you. Glad to see your trip back was safe. NYSE BP did reverse up on the internal numbers. Tom

FWIW, to all the other newbies, and you lurkers too.
In the few months I have followed P & F it has not failed me.
One of the things that has frustrated me though, as has been stated on the thread before, from the cheap seats it is hard to know what all is going on. After I look through my group of stocks, the ones with earnings and the stories on the DWA Site, I want to know what else is going on. Some have stated on the thread they use P & F as their main indicator, as I am trying and Wizzie has so eloquently argued, and others use P & F as a confirmation. Regardless, the quality of information on this thread is indisputable.

I have found a site that I would like to throw out as a vehicle to stocks that have great P & F charts without going through the alphabet. Sign up for free and go through the LISTS and GROUPS, pull out the TOP and BOTTOM performers, and run them through the P & F charts on the DorseyWright site. I have only discovered this site this weekend and have had a great time and learned a lot about reading P & F charts in the process. Have set up a few portfolios and will be interested to see how the do. One of the nice features about the charts on the new site is the supply and demand charts.

The site is John Bollinger's Equity Trader, equitytrader.com
I am new enough at TA to not know a lot about Bollinger Bands, would be interested to hear any comments for any of the more experienced residents of the thread might have. I did like the transparency of the thread in that I was easily able to pull up sector leaders and compare them on a P& F chart. I am not reccomending or suggesting anyone follow anything but their own judgement.
Aloha and happy trading,
Doug
