Of course the biggest Australian Corporation of all (the News Corporation) pays very low dividends. But then the biggest shareholder (Rupert Murdoch) happens to live in the US now.

James Hardie Industries is shifting its listing to the US. It will be interesting to see if they change their dividend policy. Their current dividend yield is 4.6%. Also I wonder whether Aussie companies with US listings in addition to Australian ones pay lower dividends than the average?
