Long-distance rates are down more than 50% in the last 6 or 7 years. International calling rates are down 70% in some cases during the same time period. None of these would have happened if the AT&T juggernaut had been allowed to roll.

As I said before, one cannot appreciate all this unless one has had the "privilege" of "enjoying" the "service" of a monopoly over a period of time.
