Please share with us where you get this information regarding MSFT warning of stock price going down due to DOJ's negative headlines.
Sam, it was in an article in the LA Times Business section. I believe it was the Saturday, but I haven't been able to spot it. Even without it, you know that DOJ is going to throw the "kitchen sink" at MSFT in court the next 6 weeks, and the papers will be all over it. This will result in very negative reporting on MSFT, on a massive scale, in all media. I believe it is bound to push the price down.
This is the first time I have stuck my neck out in a thread with a stock prediction. I really think I am right on this one. I will eat a lot of crow publicly if I am proved wrong, but I would advise anyone who is holding MSFT, and can sell without having to pay taxes on the profit, to do so. If I am wrong, I can't see how the stock would have gone up much in 6 weeks, and if I am right, I believe it will be at least a 10% swing.
