Thanks, Richard, for your help. I changed the short-sell scan at my site, and deleted the so-called "Cooper Buy" scan. I see what you mean about the Whoops Short-Sell scan being useless without real-time data. The key thing in the scan is the gap at the open, and as you said, you won't know this until the next day. I included the scan at the site just in case anyone's curious about the Whoops Short Sell scan.

Now let's wait and see whether some traders protest that they made millions with the bogus "Cooper Buy" scan, which wasn't really a Cooper scan after all. Millions of what, one might ask. Millions of enemies, perhaps.

Brooke

Here's the whole wretched thing again, translated for QP2:

//Cooper, Whoops Short Sell
output="Coopwhoop.lst";
input="commplus.lst";
issuetype common;

//Sell short 1/8 below prev close
if close(-1)<MovAvg(-1,10,cl) and //Ref(C,-1)<Ref(Mov(C,10,S),-1) AND
close(-1)<MovAvg(-1,50 ,cl) and //Ref(C,-1)<Ref(Mov(C,50,S),-1) AND
close(-1)<open(-1) and //Ref(C,-1)<Ref(O,-1) AND
open(0)>close(-1)+.25 then //O>Ref(C,-1)+0.25
println symbol,",", close(0):8:3,",", close(-1):8:3;
endif;

Richard, and others,

I did as you suggested with my scans. I had the scan enter the name of my files rather than make the change with Explorer. I still get the same results.

This has to be a WOW problem rather than a QP problem. But, knowing how the WOW people are unresponsive, I will have to hope Gary and his staff can come up with a solution.

WOW will view each chart in a new directory and each will show the latest data update. However, only the first symbol of previously run scans will display current data. All subsequent charts from that file will only show the data current through the date of the scan.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Solutions? Gary?

Ken
