Very interesting find Kurt. You are once again ahead of the rest of us.

It seems to me that the implications are almost all positive.

Maybe if they spun it off they kept a piece of the new company. Either way the capital from the sale would only help the next phase of rollout as well as allowing the possibility of repaying some of their debt if it was advantageous to do so.

Maybe it is showing just how large the market will soon be for their virtual assistant product and therefor just how much of their focus it will demand.

Maybe it streamlines their operations so that new product developments related to V-Commerce can be brought into the pipeline more quickly.

Maybe we turned the corner today.

A lot of maybes, but I imagine we won't have to wait too long for some answers.

Best wishes to all believers in the magic.

Seconds Out.

Kurt,
The Yahoo thread just mentioned that your site:
datarover.com is no longer in existence. I checked it out and sure enough the site is tranfered to the GMGC site:
generalmagic.com

I wonder if they were testing the website? It does seem strange that it is no longer there after only 1 day. If the site was only a test, then somebody let the cat out of the bag:)

I will try to get to the Interop Exhibit this week in Atlanta. I won't be able to stay long, but hopefully I will get a feel of GMGC's exhibit and responses from other individuals.

Take care,
Kurt

Yeah, good find, KG. Checked out the site- it is not really finished yet, some of the buttons lead nowhere. Must be very new. Sounds like at the very least they are going to push DataRover harder now . . . .
