Space, of the beaten down stocks you mentioned I like KEA & CIEN. Add your MSFT to it here at 102-1/2. Some of the net stocks look good but I know you are not interested.

Let me look to see what else I will come up with.

As far as Wed & Thurs. being straight up days, I don't know. A strong market during early part of the week does usually turn soft toward the end of the week.

Space,

The names that I feel most comfortable, are the ones that I mentioned two weeks ago to Manish and someone else privately. Mostly telecom-related stocks since I expected the weakness to be short-lived(but never expected such a quick rebound). However, since two weeks ago most of them are up 20-30% so you need to wait for a pullback;

tlab,unph,
qwst,nt,....lu,noka
vtss,txn,

It is also time to "selectively" nibble on the Semis on any pullback. Seasonal plays that are strengthen by the notion that the worse will be over within the next two qtrs. Most of the demand would come from N. America, AsiaPac, and Europe. Japan could still be soft. Let's hope PC demand stays strong!

So stocks that I have mentioned in the past like intc,txn,lltc,altr are buys on any pullback.

There is a Dataquest Semi conf. this week(19-21) so I should know more later.

Obviously, you always have msft here at low 100s.....I know you are scared to buy....Space, the time to buy is when nobody wants to buy.....

If MOT drops back to low 40s again, it is a buy. The two "G"s of MOT(Gilmore and Growney) are charged up to restructure the company. The company is changing from underneath.

I am also trying to see where I stand with WCII. I'll let you know.
