One thing I am pleased about with the upgrade to a new note book is the 2 in one option of a combined floppy and cd. I always hated having to remove and reboot to change these devices. Maybe that's totally common now a days?

I suppose some computers have anti theft properties.

I looked at the choice of a 4, 6.4 and 8 gig hard drive. I chose the 6.4 because it appears to be a newer design that consumes less power amoung other features. It's hard for me to know whether I really need more than 6.5? Maybe short sighted.

I really need a computer to pick up and move a couple times a year. So, the 15 inch screen seems very nice to me despite the weight.

I think it could be improved on how the micro phone interfaces for dictation software. They say you need a slightly more powerful computer in a note book because the mic doesn't go straight into the sound card.

There you go back to keyboards. They have the great saying that nobody wants to type with tooth picks. When you can do the majority of keyboard work with voice, you'll have less CTS and enjoy the small keyboard.

Regards,

Mark
