I fully agree, that's why I got in again on Friday, too. Hopefully the worst part of the Asian crisis (and its unforeseen consequences on the US financial system, among them the crisis of the mortgage and packaged securities market) is behind us - in Q3/98 Korea and Thailand were the only countries with positive stock market indices, so the region where the crisis originated starts to recover. IF (capital "F") NTBK will meet the consensus estimate Grimes and his colleagues will have done a good job in difficult times. Otherwise, if they use the 2/3 decline to write off some of their purchased loans it should already be factored into the stock price. Let's see. In any case the drop of the share price allowed me to purchase many NTBK shares more now than I would have dreamed of only some weeks ago...
