No, TXN "gave" them $550 million (not $750) in exchange for 13% or so of MU and a billion or so in notes...

I wrote "they can't write if off without re-raising the question of why buy TXN's old, outdated fabs when you have a brand new facility sitting empty"

I think "empty" means "no fab" (also note: MU can't fire any of the 1200+ newly acquired Italian workers according to the 8-K so don't look for a shutdown there.)

This is just one part of the "big picture" of borrowing billions, selling off assets, losing hundreds of millions from operations every quarter while chasing a DRAM market that shrinks in total dollars every day....
