Since I am not rooting for a global y2k meltdown of modern society, I am pleased to hear the news on the lower estimate..... BUT, the concern still remains that there are still needles in the haystack which must be located, corrected and tested, and that those chips which will fail, will fail world wide within a 24 hour period. This time-concentration of failures could produce a much greater impact than if the same number were to fail randomly over an extended period of time.
