Rainmakers comments on Piper's interest on davox are absolute bunk. Jackson still likes the thing, but the management was cautious on the call. Didn't anyone notice that EVERY research house SLASHED 1999 estimates. This is especially troubling from a company that was damned near arrogant in their June conference call and did a massive convert deal at the 52 week high in august. Blaming the analyst is a "shoot" the messenger game. Frankly, Jackson does more primary research in this business than any other analyst. he's found out about new product initiatives and new business well before anyone else on the sell side. This is a jittery market, the stock price down here is an over reaction. But that is what stocks do, they work like pendulums. Much of ASPT's growth has to come from overseas markets and there is a feeling that companies that need to generate incremental growth from european markets are at risk.
