While allowing for one more leg down, I'm very optimistic about small caps over the next 6-9 months. I see the big "nifty" stocks making a run at the average % lows of the rest of the mkt between now and EOY. But they will only manage -25 to -30 from their highs (so Alan Abelson can crow and strut about his beloved bear market!) and then we will see them trade in a range until '99 earnings become more apparent. Meanwhile small and micro cap stocks will begin a rally which tests the previous highs.

If that rally doesn't fail, then these stocks will lead the next phase of the bull market into 2000. During the initial rally, stocks with good earnings growth like HDIE should, IMO, hit most or all of our targets. My target for HDIE by next May is in the 5-10 range. Less than $.04 this Wednesday would create a buying op, though I'm currently maxed out.
