I think I was responding to JDN's comments about Y2K, etc. My thoughts are not specific to EMC, but more generic to the possible recession and the "pulse" of the layoffs I've been hearing lately. LU made comments about IT expenditures, so did ALA, etc.

EMC's plans are fine. Their selling into a potentially depressed market due to economic concerns. If AG gets more money flowing, it might be fine for a while (softer landing), but then we've got the inflationary considerations of too much money chasing too few goods. Now, we've got weakened worldwide demand.

EMC won't stop being a good stock or a good company, but just may have to reset their expectations, like everyone else has. You can't run a marathon without knowing how to rest while you run.
